Trusted Leadership for Delta Township's Future

Delta Township is our home—and after more than 32 years as a resident and 13 years serving on the Board of Trustees, I'm running for Supervisor because our community deserves leadership built on knowledge, experience, integrity, and a genuine commitment to the people who live here. I intend to bring a principled, forward-thinking approach to the office - one that anticipates challenges, rather than simply reacting to them. I know you share my concerns for preserving and enhancing the vitality of our township, so I welcome your views and thoughtful support. I invite you to explore this site, learn about my values, and see why I'm asking for your vote in the August 4 Democratic Primary.

Experienced and Trusted Leader

Thank you for visiting my Dennis Fedewa for Supervisor webpage. As a 32-year resident of Delta Township, I am running for Supervisor because public service remains important to me. Delta is a community we can all be proud of, and it deserves thoughtful, professional leadership. I am committed to bringing my experience, values, and deep connection to this community to guide how we preserve, invest in, and enhance the quality of life we enjoy together. In the topics that follow, I share my background, my values, and my perspective on the challenges confronting Delta today and in the future.

Delta Township is at a Crossroads

Delta Township faces an important turning point, where the choices we make will shape our future. We are faced with critical decisions regarding growth, infrastructure, our natural environment, and community investment. It is essential that our approach to these challenges reflects both our shared values and a commitment to responsible stewardship.

Throughout this website, I have detailed several key matters and offered perspectives that illustrate my values, priorities, and overall vision. My goal is to provide residents with clear insight into how I would approach the responsibilities of Supervisor and the principles that guide my decision-making.

I firmly believe that effective leadership depends on sound judgment, experience, and a steadfast commitment to public input and transparency. By embracing these principles, we can preserve the high quality of life that makes Delta Township a community we are proud to call home.

With your support, I am confident we can secure Delta Township’s future as a strong, well-managed, and vibrant community—one that will thrive for generations to come.

Experience and Knowledge Matter

I am a retired State of Michigan Executive with 35 years of public service. During my career, I served as Deputy Director of the Michigan Department of Natural Resources and the first Administrative Director of the Department of Environmental Quality now called Environment, Great Lakes and Energy (EGLE). In these roles, I managed multi-million-dollar budgets and oversaw key administrative functions including budgeting, accounting, procurement, real estate, contract negotiation and grants management.  Prior to that, I served 9 years as a staff specialist at the Michigan House of Representatives Committee on K-12 Education.

Values Matter: Why I’m Running for Supervisor

A Supervisor’s role isn’t about self-promotion, publicity, or competing in a popularity contest; it’s about working hard, understanding township finances, operations, and addressing long-term challenges. Effective leadership requires close attention to detail, sound fiscal management, and understanding our residents’ limited resources. Making wise policy decisions means quietly prioritizing the needs of the community rather than seeking personal recognition, publicity or personal financial gain.

Protecting our Progress: A Vision for Delta’s Future

My vision for Delta Township is a community where a vibrant quality of life and forward-thinking governance go hand-in-hand. I see a township that grows sustainably and thoughtfully—protecting our green spaces and water quality and continue to modernize our infrastructure. Through a lens of a strong financial background, I will prioritize investments that reflect our core values: provide safe, walkable neighborhoods, customer oriented public services, environmental stewardship and promote a strong local economy.

As a former K-12 education specialist in the Michigan Legislature, I know schools are a bedrock of our community.  Township government and our local K-12 school systems serve the same residents just differently.  As Supervisor, I will strengthen the communication and interaction between our shared constituencies so our community will be the best it can be.

I’ve been privileged to serve our residents over the past several years, and I’m grateful for your continued trust and support. The choice you make in the upcoming Aug. 4th primary election will shape the future of our community.  I ask for your vote to bring vision, trusted experience and integrity back to the office of Supervisor. Together, we can build a stronger, even more vibrant Delta Township for everyone.
